Liguria, Italy - The Best Low Key Spots to Visit

Lerici

Located within the Golfo dei Poeti, Lerici has all the Riviera vibes, with restaurants overlooking the sparkling Mediterranean Sea, and the perfect lungomare for an evening passeggiata. Check out Eco del Mare beach club for a day of fun in the sun. With much of the same appeal and vibrant colors as it's crowded neighboring towns to the north, Lerici won't disappoint.

Rapallo

Tucked into the cutest Ligurian cove, Rapallo is the perfect "home base" when visiting the Ligurian coast - nestled in the middle of touristy Portofino and the Cinque Terre. This low key port is the best place to escape the crowds, with an abundance of trattorias, gelaterias and pasticcerias. The rooftop at the Tigullio Royal Hotel has incredible panoramic views of the harbor and be sure to check out Panificio Pasticceria Tossini and Hostaria Vecchia for delicious eats.

San Fruttuoso

Eat on the beach! Need we say more? San Fruttuoso is around the corner from Portofino and is easily accessible via ferry (when the sea is calm). Check out La Cantina and eat the freshest fritto misto right on the sand. Doesn't get more DOLCE VITA than that!
